NOTE:

Please take note: I am seeing issues with the coloring/saturation of my photos when they are posted on the blog. Please be aware, that the photos are not nearly dull as they may seem when viewing them from the Blog. I'm not sure how to fix this issue, so this will have to do for now. Thanks!!

July 4th??

>> Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Yes, I know its very late for July 4th 2011 photos, but I forgot to post them. Better late then never.

There is something so magical about a sparkler. When I was a kid I used to pretend they were wands, spewing wonderful magic everywhere. Now, I enjoy seeing my 3yr old hold her sparkler and call it her wand, twirl it around in the air, and giggle with pure excitement and joy.
Here are a few shots from our 4th of July 2011

Announcements

I, sadly, am not booking any weddings this year. I do enjoy them very much, but found myself far too busy with two young ones at home to take on weddings, engagements, seniors, infants, children, families, and commercial photography. I have found, I just can't do it ALL.
Weddings take the most time and effort, and time is where I am at a loss.
I will still be taking bookings for the following

Seniors
Infants
Children
Families

I will have 1 senior package this year. Shot with all natural light, using locations, objects, and wardrobe unique to you. Pets are welcome! I like to provide a fun, personal, and relaxed setting to take seniors portraits. I enjoy chatting, and getting to better know who I am photographing.

Prints are NOT available. I give you a disc of your best photos, usually I give you a color, and black and white version of the images. This disc you can then take to any printer and have your photos printed at a much lower cost to you, or you can put them on your home computer and then print at home, or via online printing venders.
do not have viewings, where you can come choose your photos as of yet.

If you have a senior, but do not feel you need the specifications listed in the senior package, the mini, and regular sessions are available as well for seniors.

Forgiveness is nice...

Oy! I want to apologize yet again for not having everyone's sessions done and sent out! I have been washed out by a cold turned sinus infection, sick girls, knee injury, and the list continues...When it rains it POURS!
I will be hitting the editing hard and your sessions will be sent out! I have not forgotten about you, no worries.

Thank you for your patience!

[Nepstad] Senior 2012

Here is one really fun chick to be around let alone photograph!
I was so glad to have had a beautiful day like our booked date to take her senior photos. Alaina, wasn't so sure taking photos would be very much fun, but I think I changed her mind. Her and I had some adventures, one of which almost landed us in the Red River TWICE!

 :0P

I hope your senior year is wonderful for you Alaina, and that you like your photos! They turned out pretty good, if you ask me! I cant wait for you to see the rest! For now here is your sneak peek!

I had a wonderful time photographing this couple and their pup. We met in Grand Forks, and headed to the Campus where we took advantage of some of the buildings, and park areas. The day was perfect except for a few sprinkles right at the beginning of our session. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful fall afternoon, or a cuter couple to photograph during it either! Hope you like your sneak peek guys!

Hamness Family

I was so happy when Chelsey asked me to do a family session with them! Our first attempt got rained out, but we were determined to figure something out. It was super windy our 2nd attempt, but we made it work, and I'm happy with how their session played out! Loved the locations and color scheme. :)
Hope you like your sneak peek!

Your sneak peek is very under-saturated here on the blog because of the file size, and image quality in a collage, just so you know! It wont look this blah... :)

C&B Harwood Wedding

This was one super cute couple I have to admit. I had met very briefly the bride before as she is one of my sisters friends, so I knew of her but didn't actually know her, so I was honored when Barb facebooked me about a wedding photographer. I wish we had more time to have taken photos, since the ladies "get ready" location was this super amazing home. I was very excited to use it for some photos! I am please with what we got, so here is your sneak peek!

Awesome family to photograph. This family used to live near us, and their children attended the same school as my siblings and I did, so although they moved away it was fun to take their family photos, and see them again! They all had changed so much! Makes you realize how time does fly.
It was great to see your family, and I hope you enjoy your photos!

♥ SKILLING WEDDING ♥

I had the privilege of photographing both this couples engagement and wedding. They were the highlight of my summer of weddings for sure, just because it was so beautiful to see how much they loved each other. They had a beautiful, simple, and meaningful wedding out near a lake in the warm summer sun. I enjoyed so much watching these two as they looked at each other with so much excitement, and love. Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful, but it wasn't the decorations, it was all about love, family, making a commitment before their God, which they serve so willingly. It was inspiring, and I loved every minute of it.
My husband & I wish you both the best in your marriage, and thank you for letting us have the honor of capturing your special day.

more to come soon!

Luke and Andrea E-Session

>> Tuesday, October 25, 2011

This lovely couple are the winners of my last session giveaway. I'de say it was a good give away! They used there free session to take some engagement photos, which I was more then happy and willing to take.

This super cute bride to be is one of my highschool best friends, and I am so overjoyed for her! Luke, your one blessed man, and you best take good care of her!
Ha-ha, no I had a great time photographing them being mushy, gooshy, and madly in love. I was tickled pink watching these two, who were so much in love. Not with just eachother, but also with the Lord. Having Christ in there relationship was never a question for these two. He was the CENTER, and you could totally tell. I was blessed just watching you two interact with eachother.
Congratulations to you both!

{P.G} 2012 Senior

>> Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Had a super fun time photographing {P.G}'s senior photo session.
It makes me feel a bit old, but I enjoy seeing kids I went to school with finally reach their senior year.   Its awesome to think back at who they used to be, compared to who they have become and are today.
I was actually high school best friends with his oldest sister, so I saw plenty of this fellow when he was younger, and much more annoying. Ha-ha!
I am proud to say that {P.G} has grown and matured into a very respectable young man following the Lords plan for his life. I am excited to see where he will go in life, and was honored to be able to have captured him his senior year. I wish you the best, and pray Gods guidance upon your life as you make decisions as for what to do next now that high school is finally over!

Hanson Family Session

I have had the honor of photographing this beautiful family now a few times, and each time is super fun! The Hanson's daughters are beautiful, and its not too hard to see where they get their beauty after you see their mommy and daddy! I thoroughly enjoy photographing them. Its always fun to see how different they are becoming as they grow, but its not hard to tell they are sisters! What fun!

This is the 2nd time I have worked with this amazing family, and was so shocked at how much their kids had grown! Their session slot came right as a lovely thunder storm passed leaving us cold and everything a bit wet. We did what we could without getting their cute white outfits dirty. It was a fun session, and I am so blessed to have been able to photograph their beautiful family once again.

Frustraition over saturation

>> Tuesday, August 23, 2011

I want to apologize to those seeing their sneak peeks, and wondering if they are going to be as dull as they look posted here on the blog. I may have at some point in customizing my blog to fit my needs, done something with the color settings, and that is why the color saturation of the photos looks a bit bla. I am really sorry if the first impression of your photos isn't what it could be if the color was spot on. Please, if you have any concerns about the coloring of your photos email me at Chelsiehanson.photography@gmail.com

Happy Birthday my Ladybug Princess

>> Monday, August 15, 2011

These were taken on her REAL Birthday, so knowing my, I'll probably do another post of her actual birthday party and decorations! So Excited!

My baby girl turned one the beginning of August, and it was an emotional week. A year ago she was said to not have much of a chance to meet her big sister, or to see her room, or to come home to her big loving family. The situation was bleak and hope seemed to dissipate as her health did. Her daddy and I held strong to the Lord as we watched our baby girl struggling to stay alive. Something amazing happened though....hundreds of people from all over the place fell to their knees in prayer over our little baby girls life. A undeniable sense of peace washed over my husband and I. We realized that although we were concerned for our baby girl, worrying ourselves sick was not going to make her heal, not going to stabilize her, it was not going to hold her hand, do us or do her any good. It only was a hindrance. Thankfully our ever present Lord took our fear and replaced it with abundant peace. So much so, people were becoming alarmingly concerned for us as we seemed almost in denial of our daughters failing condition. We knew perfectly well it was serious, and that she may not come home. We also knew we could give our fears, our worries, and our cares to the Lord, and trust Him to do what is best.
Today we have a baby girl who walks, falls, crawls, and walks some more. Shes smiley as can be, has quite the personality, and is my miracle. She shouldn't be here, and yet God proves to still preform some amazing miracles on a daily basis! She is mine.

Happy Birthday Joslyn H. Hanson.
YOUR 1 YEARS OLD!!

{K} Hanson Family

>> Thursday, July 28, 2011

I had never formally met {K} before our photoshoot, but I'm glad to have met her and her family.
Her and her husband to be live with their daughter not too far from my home town, so it was a convenient session as far as location. I loved getting to know them, and playing with their little girl while trying to snap a few shots of her. {S} unfortunately wasn't so fond of the camera, and wasn't in the "happiest" mood that day, so I came back another day to try again with her! The 2nd time was the charm!

1 more to come, I just cant choose!!

3 Little Princesses

>> Tuesday, July 26, 2011

I adore the Levenhagen family of now 5. Their family recently grew with the addition of a sweet little baby girl this year. What a blessed family they are! I enjoy meeting with them to take photos because of the warm spirit they carry in action and word. I enjoy their daughters laughter, and beautiful smiles so much I just couldn't get enough. They are such a wonderful family to have around, and I'm excited to see their little family grow, and change. How beautiful is the glory of the Lord shinning through His children!

Note: For some odd reason my photos are looking very under saturated or dull when I post on my blog, so the colors are actually brighter then how they may appear right now. Sorry about that!
Isn't she just adorable?

Cote Wedding Teasers ♥

>> Tuesday, June 21, 2011

What a beautiful wedding to photograph. I was so excited to find { A } was interested in hiring me to capture her special day on camera, and we quickly exchanged information and booked the date.
Just days before the wedding { D & A } discovered the church also booked a funeral for the same day as their wedding, and only hours apart, which put a dent in the decorating, and added alot of stress on these to wonderful people, and their families. It was hectic afternoon pre-ceramony, but everything turned out absolutely beautiful, decorations and all. I was honored to take their photos, and help them in any way I could. I am so happy for these two as they embark a new life together as husband and wife, and I am sending them my best wishes!
Your photos are beautiful.
